Posterity Group LLC is a veteran owned, service-disabled small business, headquartered in Rockville, MD, that specializes in federal government contracting and staffing. We are tasked with staffing the Lexington VA Healthcare System with a Board-Certified Nuclear Medicine Physician. The Physician is expected to perform the following:

  • Diagnose and treat diseases using radioactive materials and techniques.
  • Prescribe radioactive drugs and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients.
  • Collaborate with other physicians and health care professionals to plan and execute treatment regimens.
  • Educate patients and their families on the risks and benefits of nuclear medicine procedures.
  • Prepare comprehensive interpretive reports of findings.
  • Ensure that the radioactive materials are handled within a controlled environment so as not to endanger those outside the created environment
Requirements:

  • Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine. The degree must have been obtained from one of the schools approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs for the year in which the course of study was completed.
  • Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
  • Residency Training: Physicians must have completed residency training, approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification.
  • Board Certified
