Job Description

Our client, a global technology and manufacturing leader in aerospace and advanced engineering, is seeking a Buyer to join their team. As a Buyer, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting procurement and supplier management. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Buyer
Location: Urbana, OH 
Pay Range: $41.40/hr

What’s the Job?

• Purchase and negotiate materials, equipment, and supplies from vendors
• Evaluate vendor quotes and services to determine the best value suppliers
• Review drawings and blueprints for procurement needs
• Manage multiple supplier relationships simultaneously
• Support company profitability by driving cost savings and supplier strategies

What’s Needed?

• 3+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or buying
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and procurement software
• Knowledge of supplier relations, buying strategies, and cost control
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
