Job Description

HPAG has a position open for a CAD Designer - New Product Development . This position will focus on all aspects of the New Product Development and R&D process to help create, refine, and improve products catering to the Off-Road community. The daily tasks require a creative mindset with the ability to convey a creative design into solid works assemblies to be manufactured from sheet metal and tubular parts. Responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Daily creation of CAD models in SolidWorks of parts from templates or physical parts.
Create 3D models in SolidWorks and complex sheet metal assemblies.
Process 3D scans and create 3D scanned mesh models of vehicle data to be used in the new product development process
Work with the prototype engineering team to support new products into automation and to be manufactured.
Take open instructions on any revisions of parts or assemblies.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment and be a team player to accomplish the company goals and adjust to rapidly changing priorities.
Self-motivated, assertive, and responds to production metrics.
Manages complex assemblies in solid works and creation of sheet metal and tubular parts.
Experience and understanding of tooling and fixtures to build product in the 3D model and bring them to physical reality.
Experience and knowledge of machine work and processes for final parts.
Experience working with an engineering team and creating drawings with measurements.
Contributes to building a positive team spirit and puts success of team above own interests
Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
