Are you detail-oriented with a passion for precision? We're looking for a Calibration Technician Apprentice to join our team, where you'll clean, inspect, calibrate, and repair a variety of instruments and test equipment. This role offers hands-on experience with electrical, mechanical, and environmental calibration while supporting quality and accuracy across industries.
The Calibration Technician Apprentice performs cleaning, inspection, calibration, and repair services on various instruments, test equipment and customer parts, in accordance with established specifications and procedures.
This is an onsite role working at our facility in Hatfield, PA. The hours are Monday to Friday from 8am to 4:30pm.
RESPONSIBILITIES: \n - Ensures all work is performed accurately and in accordance with established specifications, procedures, and requirements.
\n - Calibrates electrical and temperature/humidity equipment such as multi-meters and temperature/humidity read-outs and sensors.
\n - Calibrates pressure and torque gauges, force and mass instruments, micrometers, calipers, rings, thread gaging, gage blocks, length standards and dial indicators using standard lab equipment.
\n - Performs and assists with the development of calibration procedures and methods in accordance with established specifications, blueprints, drawings, and other technical documentation.
\n - Identifies out-of-tolerance conditions and performs corrective actions, adjustments, component replacement, and correction factors. Prepares reports and certificates.
\n - Ensures all test equipment and instruments are functioning properly and in calibration prior to using them or performing any tests.
\n - Ensures appropriate personnel are notified when equipment or instrumentation is found to be out of calibration or in need of repair.
\n - Analyzes and documents test and inspection results; consults with the appropriate metrology personnel as needed or directed.
\n - Monitors scheduled completion dates/times to ensure strict adherence; provides sufficient notice to appropriate personnel when schedules are at risk of not being met.
\n - Records all required data in LabMan and other applicable software/applications in a timely manner, while ensuring that it is accurate.
\n - Ensures completed products are properly stayed and protected prior to shipment.
\n - Assists with maintaining test equipment; Performs scheduled preventive maintenance and repair maintenance as needed.
\n - Assists other departments as needed, or upon request (e.g., Sales and Customer Service).
\n - Seeks clarification when job specifications, methods, or directions are unclear.
\n - Ensures assigned work area(s) are maintained in a clean, organized, and safe manner.
\n - Complies with all company policies and procedures.
\n - Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: \n - High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
\n - Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school preferred.
\n - 0-2 years of technical experience and/or training.
\n
\n
\n - Experience with standard dimensional laboratory equipment; including the use of mechanical measuring tools required.
\n - Familiarity with MetCal software and Thunder Scientific equipment is preferred.
\n

- Must meet citizenship eligibility required by accrediting bodies.
\n
