CRISIS SERVICES DIRECTOR

SUMMARY:

The Crisis Services Director is responsible for the overall development, implementation, and management of 24/7 crisis services for the Santa Fe Recovery Center. This role includes overseeing crisis intervention programming, staff recruitment and training, developing referral processes, ensuring service quality, and collaborating with community partners to provide comprehensive crisis care. The Crisis Services Director will ensure that all services adhere to Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) standards, focusing on accessibility, evidence-based practices, and trauma-informed care.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Collaborate with management to identify key roles and responsibilities for crisis support worker staff, assist in the recruitment process, and provide recommendations for staff selection.
  • Develop a detailed onboarding schedule for newly hired staff members, including orientation sessions, training modules, and shadowing opportunities, ensuring alignment with best practices and CCBHC standards.
  • Create a comprehensive training plan for crisis support worker staff, covering essential topics such as crisis intervention techniques, de-escalation strategies, cultural competency, and trauma-informed care, ensuring 25 hours of initial and 20 hours of annual training.
  • Work with admissions, communications, and clinical leadership to map out a clear and efficient referral process for self-referrals and community partners, developing protocols for handling incoming referrals, initial assessments, and follow-up services.
  • Design and implement crisis intervention programming, including mobile crisis services and/or crisis center, tailored to the needs of the target population, develop encounter forms and documentation templates, and ensure adherence to CCBHC standards for service accessibility and quality.
  • Establish data collection metrics to monitor the effectiveness and impact of the crisis services program, identify key performance indicators (KPIs) related to service utilization, client outcomes, and staff satisfaction, and develop systems for regular data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Establish and maintain formal relationships with community stakeholders, including fire, police, EMS services, schools, and health councils, and coordinate community outreach campaigns and 988 training for clinicians and first responders.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including critical incident reporting, prepare and submit required reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual program reports, and facilitate site visits and provide technical assistance as needed.

Requirements:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  1. Strong knowledge of crisis intervention techniques, de-escalation strategies, and trauma-informed care.
  2. Proven experience in staff recruitment, training, and supervision.
  3. Ability to develop and implement comprehensive crisis intervention programming.
  4. Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  5. Must attend all Mandatory Staff Meetings and/or workshops as required.

Education and Experience:

  1. Relevant experience in crisis services management.
  2. Clinical licensure preferred (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT).
  3. Familiarity with Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) standards and requirements.
  4. Must have and maintain a valid New Mexico driver’s license.
  5. Bi-lingual/bi-cultural (Spanish/English) preferred.
