Our client is seeking an Instructional Assistant in Education K-12, with at least 6 months of experience working with children, to work in schools in the Northern, VA area.

SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY
* Develop and deliver curriculum founded on the center's philosophies following childcare regulations and national standards.
* Create positive learning environments including resources based on child directed learning.
* Develop strategies to guide positive children's behavior.
* Ensure the learning environment is clean, hygienic and safe.
* Help develop teaching goals for the center and its teachers.
* Assist the Academic Teacher in meeting academic and vocational goals through planned, structured instruction directed by the teacher.
* Provide support to improve skills in the communication, physical abilities, social-emotional domains and self-care domains.
* Ensures medications are delivered accurately and on time.
* Follows infection control procedures.
* Uses the individual plan to become informed about the clients' strengths, needs, preferences, interests, and accommodations as needed.
* Communicates appropriately with stake holders - other employees, supervisors and managers.

* Mon- Fri Schedule available
* Immediate Start
* Compensation Range $20.00/hr. & Up

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
* Six months experience working with children with intellectual and behavioral disabilities
* Must be at least 21 years of age
* Ability to complete and pass a State Criminal Background Check and State Child Abuse Background Check
* CDA certification or Associates degree in early EDU REQUIRED
