Job Description

The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) at Fulton County Hospital is responsible for providing occupational therapy to patients in the hospital to restore them to their fullest physical ability. The Occupational Therapy Assistant performs his/her duties in accordance with policies and procedures and the established plan of care.

Responsibilities:
- Assist the occupational therapist in providing patient care and treatment
- Implement treatment plans under the guidance of the occupational therapist
- Monitor and document patient progress and report any changes to the occupational therapist
- Educate patients on exercises and activities to improve their mobility and strength
- Assist with patient transfers and positioning during therapy sessions
- Maintain a clean and organized treatment area

Requirements:
- Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Assistant program
- Valid state license or certification as a Occupational Therapist Assistant
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team

Pay: $72,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
