Compensation: $40 - $45 per hour

Position Type: Full Time or Part Time

Position Summary:

Saving Your Brain, an innovative and compassionate neurodevelopmental therapy center, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team in Tampa, FL. As a COTA, you will work closely with our Occupational Therapists to provide specialized therapy services for children with neurodevelopmental challenges, including ADHD, Dyslexia, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Sensory Processing Disorder, and OCD. We utilize the Melillo Method and Neurofeedback techniques to support our clients' growth and well-being. The ideal candidate is passionate about working with children, committed to learning new skills, and eager to make a positive impact on the lives of our clients and their families.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Occupational Therapists to implement individualized treatment plans using the Melillo Method and Neurofeedback techniques (We Will Training Qualified COTAs on this techniques)
  • Assist in assessing clients' progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, colleagues, and Occupational Therapists
  • Stay current on the latest research and techniques in neurodevelopmental and pediatric occupational therapy

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant program
  • Certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in the state of Florida
  • Experience working with children with neurodevelopmental challenges (ADHD, Dyslexia, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Sensory Processing Disorder, OCD)
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach to therapy
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to learn and apply new therapeutic techniques and approaches
  • Ability to work part-time or full-time, with flexible scheduling options (morning or afternoon shifts)
