Overview

As part of our kitchen crew, the Dishwasher & Utility team member keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes. From keeping dishware and cookware sparkling clean to helping maintain a safe, organized, and efficient kitchen, this role is essential to the daily success of The Buttery.

We’re currently hiring for part-time support with shifts available from 10am–6pm or 3pm–6pm . Ideal for someone looking to pick up steady hours in a supportive, fast-paced environment. Let us know your availability- we’re happy to work with the right fit Responsibilities

Dishwashing & Sanitation

• Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using industrial dishwashing machines or manual methods.
• Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen and dishwashing areas, including floors, sinks, and counters.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards in all cleaning and sanitation tasks.

Utility & Maintenance 

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of all kitchen, storage, and service areas, including routine trash, recycling, and compost removal, reporting any issues to management.
• Support kitchen operations by restocking clean items, assisting with prep, and jumping in where needed.
• Help with general upkeep of interior and exterior areas, including cleaning floors, surfaces, and shared spaces.

General Support 

• Support organization and maintenance of kitchen inventory, cold storage, and dry goods, ensuring items are properly labeled, stored, and stocked.
• Assist with setting up and breaking down kitchen stations and equipment at the beginning and end of shifts.
• Handle cleaning supplies with care, ensuring proper storage and safe usage at all times.

Qualifications

• Reliable, hard-working, and able to handle physically demanding tasks (including lifting up to 50 lbs) in a fast-paced environment.
• Team player with a positive attitude, flexible availability, and a willingness to support various kitchen and utility tasks as needed.
• Previous experience is a plus, but not required—on-the-job training is provided for candidates eager to learn and work independently.
