External Sanitation Role Overview Assures that products are manufactured in a clean and sanitary environment that complies with federal, state, and PCNA guidelines.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities - Externally cleans and sanitizes processing equipment.
- Cleans non-processing equipment.
- Maintains sanitation logs and reports to document plant and equipment cleaning.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications - High school diploma or equivalent required.
- One (1) year production or janitorial experience preferred.
- Chemical safety and Good Manufacturing Practices background preferred.
- Basic math skills required.
- Good written and oral communication skills required.
- Must be able to successfully complete forklift certification.
- Must be able to follow written procedures.
- Able to read and understand chemical use instructions and precautions.
- Must enjoy working off-shifts and in a wet environment.
- Attention to detail and safety.
- Must be able to work hours necessary to complete assigned tasks.
