At Battle Road, were looking for a highly motivated, technically minded Game Tester to help us build the Atom Engine a new generation of game engine that's cloud first. AtomEngine brings turnkey solutions for simulating millions of entities in a persistent, comprehensive, planet-scale sandbox. This role focuses on testing AtomEngines ModKit, which customers use to customize and extend AtomEngine for anything they can dream up. WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Test in the Battle Road Devices Lab several times a week, with potential for more lab time as needed.
• Learn to use and master AtomEngine to create and run wargame scenarios in single-player and multi-player configurations.
• Identify bugs, provide feedback, and identify opportunities for improvement in AtomEngine and in Battle Roads processes.
• Perform a variety of testing tasks in a timely, efficient, and thorough manner (Load Testing, Stability Testing, Functionality Testing, and other tasks as needed).
• Communicate effectively with team members to learn new systems quickly, get & stay unblocked, and provide actionable test results in real time.
• Be agile and adaptive to the demands of fast-moving workflows, priorities, and deliverables.
• Work with Hardware Test leadership to create and maintain clear, detailed test plans and procedures.
• Test AtomEngines proprietary node-based creation tool(s), identifying and reporting bugs to ensure the best user experience possible.

QUALIFICATIONS

• An organized personality.
• Experience as a game developer hobbyist, using scripting and visual scripting tools like Unreal Blueprints and/or preferably, GDScript.
• Familiarity with PC gaming hardware.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in video game quality assurance, with a strong understanding of QA principles, methodologies, and processes.
• Proficiency in using industry-standard testing tools and software, such as version control systems, bug tracking systems, and test management tools.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and prioritize testing activities based on project requirements and objectives.
• Concise, effective communication skills (spoken and written).
• Requirement to be on-site in Raleigh, North Carolina area 3 days per week.

Additional Information

Battle Road is a remote-first global team that spans 3 countries. The ability to speak and write the Spanish language is a plus!
