Job Description Description Location: UCHealth UCHlth Eye Center AMC, US:CO:Aurora Department: UCHealth Eye Center Anschutz FTE: Full Time, 1.0, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks) Shift: Days Pay: $27.61 - $41.41 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience Summary: Operates specialized ophthalmic equipment. Performs ophthalmic imaging procedures. Responsibilities: Under the direct supervision of the eye care provider, assists with performing patient care. Under the direction and supervision of an eye care provider: Performs diagnostic testing. Administers intravenous agents in preparation for retinal angiography. Performs clinical and administrative duties in support of assigned area. Provides education to students, residents and staff; assists in orienting and mentoring staff. Provides documentation, patient education and enters charges. Manages patient care and assists with patient flow. Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action. Requirements: ~ High School diploma or GED. ~ Preferred: Bachelor's degree. Equivalent vocational training will be considered. ~ Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider. ~ Certified Retinal Angiographer (CRA) within two years of hire. ~ IV certification within 6 months of hire (tracked by the unit). ~1 year of related ophthalmic photography/angiography experience or vocational training. ~ Preferred: 3 years of related ophthalmic photography/angiography experience.
