Now Hiring: Bindery Operator

Location: Twin Cities Metro Area

Job Type: Full-Time

Position Overview

Join a collaborative and safety-focused team as a Bindery Operator , where you'll be responsible for equipment setup, monitoring, and troubleshooting in a high-tech, climate-controlled printing and bindery facility. This role is ideal for mechanically inclined individuals with experience in press or bindery operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Review job specifications and prepare materials for setup.
• Monitor equipment performance and product quality.
• Troubleshoot equipment and product issues (simple to moderately complex).
• Communicate effectively during and between shifts.
• Perform preventative maintenance and evaluate mechanical conditions.
• Use computer-based workflow systems to manage files.
• Document activities in systems such as MII and SAP.
• Perform tasks including feeding, catching off, stacking, bundling, and inventory counts.
• Participate in safety programs and promote a safe work culture.
• Meet or exceed quality and productivity standards using standard procedures.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and project teams.
• Provide backup coverage for other operators.
• Recommend and implement process improvements.
• Perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, and kneeling.
• Wear required PPE including steel toe shoes and ear protection.

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience operating press machines, bindery equipment, and general machinery.
• Strong troubleshooting skills related to printing and press operations.
• Familiarity with bindery or subscription operations.
• Preferred experience with companies such as Loften Label, AWT, First Impressions, Genpak, Computype, Smyth, Vomela, Carlson Printing, Proampac, or Graphic Packaging International.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Bloomington, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $67000.00/yr.
