The Registered Nurse will provide skilled nursing care to patients in a complex care unit, which includes medicine, orthopedic overflow, and complex long-term patients. The role involves patient monitoring, medication administration, and collaboration with rapid response and code teams. The RN must be proficient in various clinical skills, including telemetry, central line care, wound care, and blood product administration.

Responsibilities:
- Monitor patients using telemetry.
- Participate in rapid response and code teams.
- Manage pacemakers (temporary and permanent).
- Provide feeding tube care and management.
- Administer blood products.
- Perform central line care and management.
- Perform phlebotomy and peripheral line care/management.
- Manage PICC lines.
- Start IVs.
- Follow heparin protocols.
- Provide care for ortho trauma and total joint replacement patients.
- Manage surgical drains.
- Administer high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), nasal cannula, oxygen face masks, and portable oxygen tanks.
- Manage tracheostomies.
- Implement isolation precautions.
- Provide wound care and wound vac management.
- Take patient ratios of 1:5 to 1:7.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Active New York (NY) Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand.
- BLS certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience.
- Experience with patient ratios of 1:6.
- Previous charge experience.
- Proficiency in EPIC.
