Retail Store Manager is responsible for planning, overseeing, and checking for completion of all aspects of the store’s day-to-day operations. They hire, train and coach employees, create the work schedules and ensure all employees are clear on the store’s policies and procedures for buying and selling. They are great at focusing on details, with strong leadership skills and an eye for teen fashion and style trends. They are passionate about the customer and their team alike.

This is a highly varied role, which includes buying, pricing, sales, merchandising, loss prevention, and training and managing the staff in the setting of a retail, thrift clothing store specializing in casual and athletic styles for teens and young adults. Expect to hire, train and coach their staff to deliver on store goals. You are also responsible for overseeing the buying process to ensure the store maintains profitability. Your responsibilities will include managing our quarterly clearance cycle, multiple in store events each month, social media posting and promotion, rack maintenance, and all executing seasonal floor sets. Previous management experience in a retail clothing setting and/or in a thrift or consignment store is essential, as is the ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

This is a salaried position with 45 scheduled hours per week on the store schedule. Weekend availability should be open, as this is a retail job. Monthly performance bonuses are primarily based on sales performance. You will receive usable paid time off after your first 90 days of employment, which increases after your first year of employment to 12 days for year two. Employee discount is available.

Flexibility is a must with this position. Manager will work two to three opening shifts, one to two mid-shifts, and one to two closing shifts each week based on the needs of the store. Weekend availability should be open, as this is a retail job. Top pay is available for proven management experience at a retailer such as Plato's Closet, Once Upon A Child, Clothes Mentor, or other prominent thrift resellers. These individuals may be eligible for some reimbursement of their relocation expenses.

• Proven experience as a retail manager for over a year, or extensive experience managing a team of at least 8 people in a clothing, big box, or consignment retail environment only

Pay: $52,000.00 - $57,000.00 per year including bonus
