Sales Representative (Rochester)
Hiring Preference: Direct Hire
Compensation: $100,000 annually + commission bonuses
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Start Date: ASAP
Packing Industry sales experience must reflect in the resume
Overview
The Sales Representative plays a key role in driving revenue growth, expanding customer acquisition, and strengthening long-term business relationships. This position is responsible for identifying prospective customers, promoting and selling company products, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the sales cycle.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications
• Prior experience in corrugated packaging or related industries is required.
• Strong understanding of market conditions within the assigned territory.
• Ability to respond quickly to changes and solve basic problems effectively.
• Proficiency in MS Office and other business software.
• Strong analytical skills and excellent organizational abilities.
• 2–4 year degree in business is preferred.
Responsibilities
• Identify and qualify potential new customers through networking and research tools.
• Develop a strong working knowledge of company products and their applications.
• Complete internal documentation to support accurate customer quotes.
• Close sales and follow up to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to understand their needs.
• Maintain detailed customer contact records, including phone, email, and in-person interactions.
• Participate in required training sessions, meetings, and conferences.
Physical Requirements
• Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods (sitting or standing).
• Regular movement required to meet with customers.
• Ability to operate standard office equipment, including computers, calculators, printers, and copiers.
• Reliable transportation for travel between customer accounts; occasional small deliveries may be required.
• Frequent communication with production and office staff, requiring clear and accurate information exchange.
• Ability to inspect goods and customer locations as needed.
• Regularly exercises judgment and assumes responsibility for decisions impacting customers, sales, and service quality.
