Remote Summary The Scrum Master plays a vital role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects by facilitating Agile ceremonies, managing sprint execution in Asana, and aligning team capacity with organizational priorities. This position bridges the gap between task-level execution and strategic goals by promoting clear communication, transparency, and continuous improvement. The Scrum Master also supports planning and reporting functions, helping to identify risks, track unplanned work, and maintain stakeholder alignment. Responsibilities Lead all Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives. Guide the team in Agile principles, encouraging collaboration, ownership, and a culture of continuous improvement. Support onboarding of new team members and help institutionalize Agile best practices. Contribute to team retrospectives and leadership discussions focused on Agile maturity. Identify and help remove team impediments, working with leadership and federal stakeholders as needed. Foster open communication, resolve team conflicts, and encourage a high-trust environment. Manage and track sprint execution in Asana to ensure accurate, up-to-date records of all tasks. Monitor and document the impact of unplanned work on team velocity and project timelines. Ensure team members regularly update task statuses and participate in issue identification. Provide regular sprint health metrics, including velocity, burn-down charts, capacity usage, and emergent work impacts. Ensure timely entry of HelpIT/SecureIT task requests into Asana. Collaborate with Business, System, and Product Owners to maintain a prioritized, actionable backlog. Coordinate with team leads to assess capacity, manage dependencies, and identify risks or blockers. Assist with long-term planning by mapping sprint cadence to delivery milestones. Partner with Customer Engagement to align deliverables to customer priorities and streamline intake. Respond to communications within 15 minutes during business hours and provide timely updates on delays. Support leadership with ad hoc reporting and sprint analytics for performance tracking and strategic decisions. Represent Agile delivery and metrics during contract or performance reviews. Contribute to Weekly Activity Reports, Monthly Status Reports, and data calls related to resource usage and velocity. Co-present consultation briefings with the Customer Engagement Representative and team leads. Facilitate or support enterprise Agile activities such as PI Planning, Scrum of Scrums, or cross-team demos. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelors degree in business, Computer Science, or related field 5+ years experience in roles using Agile methodologies such as Agile Scrum to manage project workloads Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, or equivalent) is a plus. Public Trust required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Proven experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Project Manager. Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum principles and frameworks. Hands-on experience with Asana or similar task/project management tools. Excellent communication, facilitation, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work across teams and stakeholder groups. Familiarity with federal contracting or experience working in government environments.
