Base pay range: $175,000.00/yr - $210,000.00/yr. Salary details are provided by Jobot and may vary based on skills and experience.

What we're looking for

Our Back-End team is designing and building intelligent systems that power our platform. You'll work on exciting problems in computational expression generation and data modeling, with a high degree of autonomy to make key decisions. We are looking for engineers who are product-minded, creative, and able to solve core problems.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain complex backend systems (preferably in Python).
• Integrate AI tools into development workflows (e.g., Cursor, Windsurf).
• Model data effectively using PostgreSQL and related technologies.
• Communicate clearly in a remote, async-first environment.
• Apply pragmatic engineering practices: iteration, code quality, testing, and thoughtful system design.
• Operate effectively with ambiguity and minimal guidance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7+ years of production experience, preferably in a complex SaaS environment.
• Proven experience in designing, building, and maintaining complex backend systems, ideally with Python.
• Experience deeply integrating AI tools into workflows.
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL and data modeling.
• Excellent technical communication skills in a remote, async-first environment.
• Fluency with AI tools and coding assistants; track record of integrating them into workflows.
