KE&G Construction, Inc., a 100% employee-owned company, is looking for a motivated and experienced Staff Accountant to join our dynamic team in Tucson, Arizona.
As a Staff Accountant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our finance team by managing documentation, scheduling, budgeting, and communication to ensure our financial records are accurate and compliant. This role involves working across multiple disciplines in accounting.
We are seeking candidates with a strong background in accounting through general ledger, excellent attention to detail, and deep knowledge of regional laws and regulations.

Areas of Responsibility:
  1. General Accounting:
    • Cross train in the areas of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and General Ledger
    • Financial Reporting and Reconciliation:
      • Month-end reconciliation of sub ledgers with general ledgers.
      • Maintain fixed assets.
      • General ledger trial balance reconciliation.
      • Other duties as assigned.
  2. Leadership and Accuracy:
    • Provide accuracy in the completion of work.
    • Take on a "champion” ownership role in areas assigned.
Requirements:
  • Recent five plus years in similar role in construction or manufacturing industries.
  • Must have thorough knowledge of general ledger and financial statements.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to handle information confidentially 
  • Familiarity with accounting ERP software, Vista by ViewPoint/Trimble preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially MS Excel, VLOOKUP
  • Proven experience meeting regular deadlines
  • Highly experienced, confident, and value-added contribution to the accounting department and company
  • Position reports to and supports the Accounting Manager.
  • Highly trainable and respects feedback.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
    • Regularly required to sit, use hands, talk/hear, and operate computers
    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
    • Work in an office environment
    • Occasional extended hours may be necessary to meet deadlines
    • Typical 45-hour work week. Monday through Friday 7:00am to 4:30 pm with a 30-minute lunch break
