\nThe surgical technologists/first assistant is responsible for ensuring the operating room environment is safe, equipment functions properly, and the operative procedure is conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety.
\nThe surgical technologist/first assistant handles the instruments, supplies and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure. \n\n \n\n Required Certifications & Licensure:
\nEducation: Trade or Technical School (Certificate or diploma)
\nCertifications: NBSTSA / CSFA Certification required, BLS is mandatory within three months
