Join our team as a Behavioral Health Technician I and make a difference in the lives of individuals struggling with mental health and addiction issues. As part of our Behavioral Health Center, you will provide direct and supportive care to clients/patients, including general oversight of day-to-day activities, health monitoring, and crisis intervention. Key Responsibilities: Provide direct and supportive care to clients/patients, including general oversight of day-to-day activities; Monitor vital signs and health symptoms, and intervene/respond to crisis situations; Communicate with established treatment teams and facilitate group education/structured activities; Assist with admission/orientation process, including obtaining vital signs and collecting urine/lab specimens; Document client/patient behavior and progress, and maintain accurate records; Provide transportation to clients/patients as needed; Maintain a safe and clean environment, and report maintenance problems or safety concerns. Education and/or Experience Qualifications: High School education or equivalent; Minimum of two (2) years of responsible employment history. Required License/Certification: Must have a Class E driver's license. Additional Qualifications: Ability to communicate effectively with clients/patients, staff, and community contacts; Basic keyboarding skills and ability to navigate electronic medical records; Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables within standardized situations. Physical Requirements: Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently; Repetitive movements of hands, fingers, and arms for typing and/or writing during work shift; Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods.
