Responsibilities:
  • As a Cyber Security SME II at our organization, I will empower you to take ownership of your career while supporting vital missions by implementing advanced cyber defense mechanisms with state-of-the-art technologies. Your contributions will play an essential role in fortifying our clients’ operations and proactively addressing potential threats.
  • In this role, you will be an integral part of a dynamic security team, tasked with providing necessary expertise in the architecture, deployment, and upkeep of Splunk environments for critical federal clients. Your responsibilities will include developing innovative processes for next-generation security automation, suggesting enhancements focused on efficiency, and ensuring compliance with customer requirements for Splunk environments.
  • You will provide leadership in consolidating cyber support into a shared service model, mentor junior talent, solve complex technical issues, and continuously update your knowledge of the latest cybersecurity practices.

To succeed in this position, I require candidates to hold a Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related area. If you do not have a degree, equivalent experience may be considered.

Required Experience:
- With Degree: 10+ years in cyber security or a related field; 12+ years preferred.
- Without Degree: 14+ years in cyber security or a related field; 16+ years preferred.

Required Technical Skills:
- Proficient in Splunk Enterprise and related tools.
- Experienced in designing, implementing, and maintaining Splunk infrastructures.
- Skilled in scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell and has familiarity with AWS, especially in deploying and managing Splunk.
