Serves as a central link of communication between Carilion Clinic, patients, medical staff and the general public. Answers calls in a high call volume environment in a 24 x 7 department. Responds to information and messaging requests for eight hospitals and 1200 healthcare practitioners and their practices. The call center is critical point of communication serving our patients, our community and our staff. Excellent customer service is required. Makes appropriate decisions, reasoning, and problem solving to address messaging of providers related to patient care. Bilingual is a plus.

What We Require Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience: Three years customer service experience in an environment that requiring multi-tasking such as a call center, physician’s office, hospitality or retail/service industry. Call center experience preferred.
Other Minimum Qualifications: A demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment, manage difficult and emotional situations, remain calm under stress, display empathy and maintain positive communication is required. Must have strong keyboarding and computer skills.
