Job Title: Lab Technician

Location: Baltimore, MD 21226

Pay: $20-23/hour

Shift: Monday - Friday or Wednesday - Sunday 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts (rotating)

POSITION WILL BE ASKED TO WORK ALL SHIFTS...SCHEDULES ARE PUT OUT 6 MONTHS IN ADVANCE BUT MUST BE COMFORTABLE WORKING ALL SHIFTS

Job Description:

Assists engineers and scientists with a variety of laboratory tasks. Performs chemical analyses and scientific tests using both routine and techniques in compliance with all safety standards. Collects, analyzes and processes laboratory samples. Records results of tests, organizes data, performs basic computations, and prepares reports and analyses using standard procedures and guidelines. Active participation in required local safety program, along with the ability to work safely and maintain a clean and orderly lab environment. Operates, maintains and makes basic repairs laboratory test equipment, apparatus, systems and supplies. Provides technical product support to customers. Provides a basic level of product knowledge, assists in trouble shooting, basic start up, and proper application. Responsible and held accountable for compliance with all Critical Life Safety Policies, Environmental, Health and Safety training, policies and procedures.

Required Skills:

• The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and interpersonal skills with knowledge in basic chemistry, math, and computers.
• Holds safety as a top priority while working in a team setting.
• Familiarity with computer programs such as MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Selfdirection and the ability to work according to priorities are necessary.
• Strong written and oral communications skills along with computer experience are important.
• Has basic skills in an analytical or scientific method or operational process. D
• isplays strong leadership behaviors.

Required Experience:

• Will typically have at least 2-4 years related technical experience if High school education •
• Will typically have at least 0-2 years related technical experience if BS in related field Preferred Qualifications:
• High school education or equivalent with two years of college level course work in related field
